Why we work only inside Bogor Raya

A contractor who covers half of Java arrives late, guesses at the climate and disappears after handover. Being a sauna builder Bogor owners can reach within the hour matters more to us than a map with pins all over it. Everything is fabricated in Bogor Selatan and installed within a radius a van covers in an hour or two: Kota Bogor, Sentul City, Rancamaya, Ciawi, Gadog, Cisarua, Megamendung, Gunung Putri and Kota Wisata.

The benefit is not only speed. Building in one place for three years teaches you things a catalogue cannot: which clusters have honest meter capacity and which do not, when the Puncak road turns one-way, how much longer timber takes to acclimatise in a valley that gets 4,000 mm of rain. That knowledge goes into the quote before the work starts, which is why our estimates rarely move.

How we build, and what we turn down

Every cabin we build is a custom sauna Indonesia's climate cannot quietly destroy: a five-layer sandwich wall with an aluminium vapour barrier and a 20 mm ventilation gap, supply and exhaust ventilation, imported heaters with guards, heat-resistant SiHF cable, a dedicated breaker and an ELCB. Interior timber is western red cedar, Scandinavian spruce or thermowood; benches are aspen or abachi; local ulin and bengkirai appear only on outdoor decking.

We also say no. We do not build without a vapour barrier, however tight a budget is, because the customer pays twice. We do not put an unroofed cabin in a Bogor garden. We do not quote a heater we cannot get parts for. And when a client asks for a steam room where a dry cabin would serve them better, we say so at the survey — the smaller job that gets used is worth more to us than the larger one that does not.

After handover: warranty, parts and coming back

Handover is a test heating rather than a signature. We run the cabin with you, check the temperature curve and the airflow, walk through daily care and the wet-season routine, and leave written maintenance notes. The structural warranty runs two years; heaters carry the manufacturer's own 1–2 years, with spares for Harvia, Sawo and Tylö held in Indonesia.

Afterwards we service what we build and, often enough, what others built: retimbering, adding the ventilation gap that was missed, replacing a heater.
